Celebrating the 450th Anniversary of the Birth of St. Francis De Sales in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn

High Altar with painting of St. Margaret
Mary Alacoque with Our Lord
My friends and I had the great pleasure of visiting Brooklyn Visitation Monastery (8902 Ridge Blvd.) Monday evening for the Votive Sung Mass in honor of the 450th Anniversary of the Birth of St. Francis De Sales, with commemoration to St. Jane Frances De Chantal.
Mass was sung by Celebrant and Homilist Fr. Stephen Saffron, Parochial Vicar at St. Anselm Church in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. The motets and Mass setting for this Liturgy were composed by organist and choir director David Adam Smith.
Thank you to the Order of the Visitation of Holy Mary for organizing the Mass and warmly welcoming us inside their beautiful chapel and monastery grounds. It was a great joy to celebrate our faith together.
