Back in the early 70s when I was a young boy my mother gifted me an amazing collection of hardbacks. Way above my reading level at the time, I attribute these books to be the wellspring of my bookish nature and great passion for reading. Too young to read them, let alone understand them, I was determined to learn. I intuitively understood their importance and I wanted to make my parents proud. Long story short, I eventually read them all but the Selections from The Arabian Nights. Many years ago I inexplicably lost my copy before finishing it. I'm not an overly sentimental man, at least with material possessions, but the loss of this book was, to say the least, most upsetting. So you can imagine my joy in discovering a good copy for a mere five dollars and completing the set again! The fact that I still randomly did searches for it online and in used bookstores after all these years shows how important this was to me. I cannot wait to delve in.
