In arrivo solo su Netflix.*Netflix revealed the first images of its upcoming original series Briganti this week and all the protagonists appear to be women. Lord only knows what modern, intersectional grievances they’ll inject into the period piece, but I remain cautiously hopeful the show will remain true to history. Who am I kidding? After reading the show's poorly worded synopsis (above) and considering Netflix’s penchant for dumpster fires (e.g. Queen Cleopatra), I remain realistically skeptical. We will almost certainly be writing a critical review after its release later this year.
