A Look at the 2015 Festa di Sant'Antonio di Padova in Bath Beach, Brooklyn

Viva Sant'Antonio!

Last Saturday (June 6th), I made my way to Bath Beach, Brooklyn to join our friends at the St. Anthony Society Hall (8729 20th Ave. Brooklyn, NY 11214) to celebrate the Feast of Saint Anthony di Padova, beloved patron of Grumo Appula, Bari.

A picture-perfect day for the procession, we wended through the bustling streets, praying, collecting donations and distributing blessed loaves of bread. Afterward, we returned to the clubhouse for Mass, which was celebrated in Italian by Father Barozzi.

My sincere thanks to the St. Anthony Society of Grumo Appula for their hard work and generosity. I look forward to celebrating with you again next year. Viva Sant'Antonio!
