A Look at the 2013 Feast of Santa Rosalia in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn

Evviva Santa Rosalia!

In what felt like the hottest day of the year,
Sunday's procession makes its way down 18th Avenue
Adorable ruginettas Rose, Luciana and Lucille with proud nonna Lucy Spata
Mario D'Amico sang our favorite festival songs,
including a glorious rendition of Ave Maria
Halfway through the procession, we cooled off outside
Villabate Alba Pasticceria and Bakery
Literally one of the best arancini I've had in awhile
It's not a Sicilian Feast unless you have a least one cannoli
After our break, the parade continued towards Santa Rosalia Church
After Mass, Santa Rosalia was taken back to her chapel on 18th Avenue
A look inside beautiful Santa Rosalia Church (6301 14th Ave.)
I took a brief tour of the church to admire some of the artwork,
including this wonderful statue of Santa Rosalia
