A Look at the Salian Kings and Emperors at the Imperial Cathedral of Speyer, Germany
Monument of King Rudolf I of Habsburg
A friend visiting Germany made a pilgrimage to the Romanesque Imperial Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption and St. Stephen in Speyer, Rhineland-Palatinate; and sent us pictures of the tomb of Adolf of Nassau, King of the Romans, and the monument of King Rudolf I of Habsburg in the Narthex. Behind the monument of King Rudolph I can be seen a statue of King Adolph of Nassau and a statue of King Albrecht I of Germany. Statues of King Rudolph of Habsburg and Holy Roman Emperor, Henry V, stand sentinel over King Adolf’s tomb.
