Unable to get out of work in time to attend Mass Monday evening, my workmates and I instead celebrated the Feast of San Giacomo il Maggiore at a local Galician tapas bar. In addition to being widely venerated across Southern Italy, Santiago Matamoros (as he is called in Spain) is also the patron saint of the old Kingdom of Galicia and de las Españas.
